David is responsible for the overall strategy and management of Food and Drink Federation (FDF) Scotland. He is part of the senior FDF management team at UK level where he leads on EU exit.David liaises with government, regulators and other external organisations to identify and act on issues that impact on food and drink manufacturers. FDF Scotland works in partnership with related bodies to help contribute to the growth of the sector and David sits on Scotland Food & Drink’s Executive Group.

David previously worked at the Scottish Government, including five years as Head of Food, Drink and Rural Communities and two as Head of Primary Care.

David was educated at the University of Edinburgh, and lives in Edinburgh with his family.

Presentation Title – Scotland, the UK and Brexit

Synopsis – David sets out some of the key issues for Brexit from the perspective of Scotland, and the UK as a whole.
